Located on the ocean midway between Bal Harbour and Golden Beach, just south of Sunny Isles Boulevard, Turnberry Ocean Colony will feature two 37-story towers. Each tower includes 130 residential units with intracoastal and ocean view.

The official announcement came on April 14, 2014. The latest luxury condominium Turnberry Ocean Club is on its way to Sunny Isles Beach.

This new building is just one of many luxury condominiums that have been approved recently, but this one will be located at 18501 Collins Avenue. The club that exists in this location currently has been owned and operated by Turnberry for the past 30 years, and it will be replaced by a gorgeous glass condominium building that will stand 649 feet in the air. When it is complete, it will be an oceanfront tower with 54 floors consisting of only 154 huge luxury residences and penthouses. The maximum number of units on any floor will be four, and they will all have "flow-through" floor plans. One of the balconies will have a view of the ocean to the east and the other will provide residents with a view of the sunset to the west.

The interiors of the 154 luxury residences and penthouses will be extremely large, but they will also have impressive balconies and terraces. The balconies were designed to be 11 feet deep and will each contain a summer kitchen.

Turnberry is a brand that offers members the prestige of a private club. Therefore, residents of the new Turnberry Ocean Club pre-construction condos for sale will have the following amenities at their fingertips:

A luxury unit with "flow-through" floor plans that provide residents with views to the east and west
Two 11-foot deep balconies
Units with three bedrooms and 2,900 square feet
Units with four bedrooms and 3,625 square feet
6,695 square-foot Collection Residences with five bedrooms

The three-story club will have amenities on the inside and the outside and sensational views of the beach from 300 feet above sea level. This is where residents will find the Hammam spa, two infinity edge pools and massage rooms as well as a fitness center, a dining area, a wine room, a library and a relaxation room. It will also have an infinity edge pool at beach level that will appear as if it is emptying into the ocean. Those who wish will be able to purchase a private cabana that will be located right in the middle of perfectly manicured grounds. The adventurous will love the views they have from the two swimming pools that will be located on the 30th floor. From the pool on the west side, residents will swim with the ocean in sight all day. From the east side, swimmers will become intimately acquainted with how beautiful the sun looks when it sets in Miami.

The Turnberry Ocean Colony's amenities and services served as a model for what will be available at the highly anticipated Turnberry Ocean Club condominium, but the new building will have even more.

About the Architects and the Developers

The developers are the Turnberry Associates, and they are well-known in the residential and commercial real estate world in southern Florida. They are esteemed for bringing the emblematic Fontainebleau Resort, Turnberry Isles Resort and the Turnberry Ocean Colony to Miami Beach. The company has been in business for more than 50 years and accumulated a grand portfolio of commercial, residential, hospitality and retail projects in the property management and real estate development arenas.

Turnberry Associates' portfolio contains 1.5 million square feet of the most reputable office space, around 7,000 apartment and condominium units, more than 2,000 resort and hotel rooms and 20 million square feet of retail space. This adds up to $7 billion in residential and commercial property that the company has developed. The Turnberry Associates are not finished because they have many other projects in the works for the near future. Of all of their luxury condominium properties, the Turnberry Ocean Club condo Sunny Isles Beach will be the cream of the crop.

Architect Carlos Zapata has taken the reins of this new project as its designer. The interior designer is Robert Swedroe, and he is charged with designing all of the interior spaces within the property. Mr. Swedroe has a long list of accomplishments, and they include the Porto Vita in Aventura, the Turnberry Ocean Colony in Sunny Isles Beach and the six Turnberry residential properties in Las Vegas. Mr. Swedroe has also offered his hand in designing other buildings in southern Florida. The most notable is the ONE Bal Harbour where I have personally witnessed his expertise in creating the most impressive layouts and floor plans.

People had the privilege of reserving and purchasing their luxury units in the pre-construction phase beginning on October 15. The developers are planning to schedule their groundbreaking ceremony early in 2015 and expect to have the project finished early in 2018. If you allow this opportunity to pass you by, you will greatly regret the fact that you cannot purchase a new condominium that has the floor plan and the amenities and services that define luxury living in Miami Beach.

The developers have released a few details, artists' depictions and pertinent information, but they will have more for us as the days go by.
