The former owners of the Psychic Readers Network are predicting their waterfront Fort Lauderdale mansion could sell for $27.5 million.
Steven Feder and Lou Thomas Trosclair listed their five-bedroom, 9,295-square-foot house last week, according to Realtor.com. Feder and Trosclair are known for their psychic hotline network, which made South Florida psychic Miss Cleo famous.
Built in 2002, the three-story estate sits on a 25,380-square-foot point lot at 2501 Mercedes Drive. The property has 450 feet of waterfront, a wraparound dock, pool and gazebo.
The Harbor Beach home features a theater room, office suite, gourmet kitchen, gym and sauna, according to the listing. Sheryl Hodor of Coldwell Banker’s Hodor & Hotchkiss team is listing the mansion.
Records show it last sold for $11.5 million in 2013.
Feder and Trosclair’s hotline network faced its demise in the late ’90s and early 2000s following a Federal Trade Commission investigation that found six million people were charged about $60 a pop for “free readings,” according to an Observer article from 2012. The network’s downfall also exposed Miss Cleo, known as a Caribbean psychic star, as Youree Dell Harris, who died in Palm Beach County in July.
The duo have owned and sold lavish homes in New York and Fort Lauderdale since then.
